Dr. Ahson

Dr. Imran Ahson, MD, DMD, lives and works in the greater Massachusetts/New Hampshire area. Originally born and raised in Florida, Dr. Ahson completed his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering at the University of Florida. During his time there, he worked extensively with the Center for Implant Dentistry, and created technology that assisted in implant design. He went on to complete dental school, medical school, and surgical residency at the University of Florida, as well as a fellowship in Pediatric Craniofacial Surgery at the Florida Craniofacial Institute. His training included extensive experience in the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery as well as craniofacial surgery; and has written and lectured nationally on various topics in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

 In addition to working at NHOMS, Dr. Ahson is a Clinical Professor at Tufts University, and is passionate about using his skills to help underserved populations. He travels yearly to provide healthcare and cleft lip/palate surgeries in developing countries including Bangladesh, Guatemala, Pakistan, Thailand, and Ecuador.

Dr. Courtney

Dr. Courtney

Dr. Courtney is a Massachusetts native, raised in a family of dentists and periodontists, including those in his immediate and extended family. He received his BA from Boston University, and after that he attended Boston University’s School of Dental Medicine, where he received his DMD. While in dental school, Dr. Courtney participated in numerous research projects with a focus on the success of dental implants in medically compromised patients and studies concerning salivary gland pathology.

Thereafter, Dr. Courtney completed his medical school training at Jefferson’s Medical College in Philadelphia, PA achieving his M.D. and continued his oral and maxillofacial surgery program training at Thomas Jefferson University Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. During residency, Dr. Courtney continued his research interests, presenting at the SLEEP conference, where he promoted studies concerning management of obstructive sleep apnea. He also conducted interdepartmental lectures within the university hospital.

Following residency, Dr. Courtney pursued a surgical fellowship with a focus on orthognathic jaw reconstruction and TMJ management in Charlotte, NC with Dr. Brian Farrell and his surgical team. Dr. Courtney endeavors to continue his career with an interest in full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery with a focus on: 

  • Orthognathic surgery
  • TMJ Management
  • Obstructive Sleep Apnea
  • Wisdom Teeth
  • Dental Implants 

Dr. Courtney is board certified and a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is also a member of the American Medical and Dental Associations. 

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, playing ice hockey and golfing.

Dr. Kim

Dr. Jaegak Kim completed his undergraduate study with honors in Biophysics. He then pursued a Master of Science in Cell and Developmental Biology from the University of British Columbia, Canada. His academic interest for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery arose unintentionally after he was treated as a patient for jaw infection. Dr. Kim then moved to Boston to obtain a Doctor of Dental Medicine from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and with the prestigious induction to Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU).

Dr. Kim then further progressed his training by undertaking an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Boston University Medical Center. His surgical training was robust and has prepared him for a wide variety of surgical cases practicing the full scope Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He holds a keen interest in dentoalveolar surgery including extractions, dental implants and bone grafts, orthognathic jaw surgery and IV sedations. He is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS). 

In his free time, he likes to spend time with his wife Mina and their son Yul. He passionately enjoys playing and watching soccer. He is also fond of trying and experiencing different food cultures and restaurants in the Boston metro area. He is fluent in both Korean and English. 

Dr. Keyser

Dr. Keyser

Dr. Benjamin Keyser is dedicated to serving his patients at the highest standard of care in all aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Implant dentistry. He believes in providing compassionate care, prioritizing patients safety, comfort, and clinical excellence. He prides himself in making sure that every patient feels welcome in the office and at ease prior, during, and after their oral surgery appointment.

Dr. Keyser was born and raised in the greater Boston area and is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Colby College in Maine with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry. He then completed his dental training at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He continued his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training at the University of Maryland Medical Center, R.
Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, and the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and Medicine where he was exposed to the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) ranging from wisdom teeth, complex implant, and sinus lift surgery to orthognathic, TMJ, trauma, and head and neck oncologic surgery. During his residency, he also received his medical degree and served as chief resident in his final year of training.

He has received further training in cosmetic surgery including Botox® and dermal fillers as well as in complex implant surgery such as All-on-X and zygomatic implant surgery.

He is a board-certified diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and a member of Massachusetts Dental Society. He maintains hospital privileges at Lowell General Hospital and Winchester Hospital and attends multiple courses yearly to provide the highest level of care possible.

He has now returned to his hometown of Newton and joined Mass OMS to serve the communities that he grew up in. He holds an active
Massachusetts medical, dental, and dental anesthesiology license and performs in-office IV sedation. He has also authored multiple articles pertaining to maxillofacial pathology and TMJ surgery in the most prestigious Oral Maxillofacial Journals (JOMS, IJOMS, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinics) and has lectured locally and nationally on multiple topics within Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Outside of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, he is passionate about skiing, golf, biking, working out, playing guitar, spending time with his family, and rooting on all the Boston sports teams. He looks forward to welcoming you to his office.

Dr. Faith Ajiboye is a talented Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, holding an MD and DMD from The University of Connecticut. She brings both exceptional skill and a warm, compassionate approach to her practice. With a rich background that includes a BS in Clinical Laboratory Science, an MBA in Healthcare Management, and extensive training in general surgery, Dr. Ajiboye shines in dental implant surgery and facial reconstruction.

Her outstanding work has earned her awards in Dental and Craniofacial research, and she's made notable contributions to the literature on minimally invasive facial cosmetic surgery. Dr. Ajiboye’s skillset isn't limited to top-notch patient care—her certifications in ACLS, ATLS, and PALS mean you're in the safest hands. Her passion for mentoring, coupled with her love for family, cooking, traveling, and photography, makes her not just an exceptional healthcare provider, but also a wonderfully relatable person.
