Dr. Benjamin Keyser is dedicated to serving his patients at the highest
standard of care in all aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Implant
dentistry. He believes in providing compassionate care, prioritizing patients
safety, comfort, and clinical excellence. He prides himself in making sure that
every patient feels welcome in the office and at ease prior, during, and after
their oral surgery appointment.
Dr. Keyser was born and raised in the greater Boston area and is a Magna
Cum Laude graduate of Colby College in Maine with a major in biology and
a minor in chemistry. He then completed his dental training at the University of
Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He continued his Oral and
Maxillofacial Surgery training at the University of Maryland Medical Center, R.
Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, and the University of Maryland School of
Dentistry and Medicine where he was exposed to the full scope of Oral and
Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) ranging from wisdom teeth, complex implant, and sinus lift surgery to orthognathic, TMJ, trauma, and head and neck oncologic surgery. During his residency, he also received his medical degree and served as chief resident in his final year of training.
He has received further training in cosmetic surgery including Botox® and dermal fillers as well as in complex implant surgery such as All-on-X and zygomatic implant surgery.
He is a board-certified diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and a member of Massachusetts Dental Society. He maintains hospital privileges at Lowell General Hospital and Winchester Hospital and attends multiple courses yearly to provide the highest level of care possible.
He has now returned to his hometown of Newton and joined Mass OMS to serve the communities that he grew up in. He holds an active
Massachusetts medical, dental, and dental anesthesiology license and performs in-office IV sedation. He has also authored multiple articles pertaining to maxillofacial pathology and TMJ surgery in the most prestigious Oral Maxillofacial Journals (JOMS, IJOMS, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinics) and has lectured locally and nationally on multiple topics within Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Outside of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, he is passionate about skiing, golf, biking, working out, playing guitar, spending time with his family, and rooting on all the Boston sports teams.
